2015 RETROSPECTIVE: Great Bear LIVE is thriving

This year we streamed live video from five different locations in the Great Bear Rainforest on our website for people around the world to watch.

In addition to our perennial favourites, wolf pups fishing for salmon and curious seals investigating our underwater camera, we were able to live stream some amazing events for the first time, including a sandhill crane chick hatching and Bigg’s (transient) killer whales hunting sea lions.

In the coming year, we’ll be working to improve the way we tie our cameras and hydrophones into SEAS programs in local schools, as well as boosting the interactive experience for everyone via a new Great Bear LIVE website.

If you don’t already, please consider supporting this one-of-a-kind program with a donation.
